Fellowship At Mulberry
Mulberry members know how to have a good time! We find as many occasions as possible to get together to eat and have fun. There is a Mother’s and Father’s Day breakfast, July Fourth luncheon, ice cream social, picnic at camp and conference center Fellowship Point, dances, potlucks and so much more! In particular, there are three groups of people that get together often for fellowship and service.
Young At Heart
These senior citizens are enjoying the prime of their lives as they get together every month for discussions, laughter, games, field trips, and, of course, eating. There is always something new to do, to see, and to talk about. And boy, can this group cook! No one ever goes away hungry from these gatherings.
Women of the Church
With three Presbyterian Women’s Circles that meet monthly, the women of the church are the most active of all the groups with the most amount of people involved. Some circles meet during the weekday while some meet on the weekend to accommodate the various schedules of its members. The women of the church meet for bible study, plan fundraisers, have monthly birthday recognitions, do service projects, and simply add to the life of the church. The highlight of the women of the church is the annual weekend retreat held in the mountains where they can go to relax, learn, shop, and, yes, eat!
Men of the Church
The men of the church help keep things going and take responsibility for some of the maintenance of the building and grounds. They do numerous fundraisers throughout the year, the most infamous being the “Pine Needle Sale”, to help fund this maintenance. Though they are more business-like than the other two groups above, they have their share of fun too as they cook the Mother’s Day breakfast, barbecue for one of their fundraisers, or even have a workday at the church.
